Özgür Temel

Born in Ankara in 1972, Özgür Temel graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Hacettepe University and completed his master’s degree in International Banking and Finance at Birmingham Business School.

Temel began his career at Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. in 1994 and held various positions within the institution. In 2013, he was appointed Head of the Capital Markets Division, and in 2016, Head of the International Financial Institutions Division.

During this period, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors at İş Yatırım, İş Yatırım Ortaklığı, Milli Reasürans, and JSC İşBank Russia. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors at İş Girişim Sermayesi.

Since July 20, 2023, he has been serving as Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Maxis Girişim Sermayesi Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş., as well as a Member of the Investment Committee of its venture capital investment funds. He also continues to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors at GullsEye Lojistik Teknolojileri A.Ş. and on the Impact Investing Advisory Board.
