Fund Investment Strategy
The fund was established under the Türkiye Green Finance Project for setting up a venture capital investment fund focused on emission reduction and inclusive transformation, financed through a loan obtained by the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the guarantee of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance. The fund's main goal is to make medium- and long-term investments in green companies and companies undergoing green transformation that operate to develop and produce products, processes, knowledge, and technology capable of creating added value in areas with growth and development potential, in line with sustainable development goals. By placing climate risk management at the center of its investment approach, the fund aims to contribute to Türkiye's 2053 Net Zero target, play an active role in the green transformation journeys of its portfolio companies, and increase the diversity, scale, and multiplier effect of climate finance resources through capital markets. In this way, it seeks to support a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy. The fund aims to invest in venture companies that support access to finance for Affordable and Clean Energy and Climate Action and that treat decarbonization as the core of their investment thesis.
